In the Electrolux dishwasher, error I30 was displayed? Do not worry, the DTC will help you quickly find the cause of the breakdown. The decoding of error 30 sounds like this: the overflow protection has worked.
Causes and Symptoms
You will find a rather dry definition of damage in the instructions for the Electrolux dishwasher. But how to understand where to look for a problem?
For what reasons the PMM can show error code I30:
- There is a leak (broken hose connections or tank tightness).
- Drain filter or drainage system (sewage) clogged.
- Problems with the drain pump.
- Defective or clogged inlet valve.
How to independently determine the breakdown? You have to check all the details in turn.
How to fix I30 Error
Try resetting the code by restarting the technique:
- pull the plug out of the socket;
- wait 10-15 minutes;
- restart the PMM.
If the icon no longer lights up on the screen, then this is a normal system failure. But if it is highlighted again, then check.
All Electrolux brand dishwashers are equipped with a tray. At the bottom is a float sensor, which is triggered by a leak. Your task is to check if there is water in the pan.
How to fix the situation and drain the water:
- Replace the container, tilt the dishwasher and drain the water.
- Dry the remaining moisture.
- Remove the top cover.
- Loosen the screws around the perimeter and remove the side panels.
- Turn on the car.
While water is being collected, you can check in which part a leak has occurred and correct the problem.
Drain system
If the pallet is dry, then you need to look for another reason. Check the drain and drain:
- Disconnect the drain hose, check for obstruction. You can clean it under the pressure of water.
- Open the tap of the mixer at full power.
- See how fast the water goes down the drain. If the passage is blocked, use special cleaning products.
In 27% of cases, code I30 appears due to a clogged drain filter. Therefore, it is recommended to clean twice a month.
Open the hopper door and unscrew the filter, and then the mesh behind it. Then inspect the impeller of the pump. To do this, unscrew and remove the cover (located immediately behind the filter). Then remove debris from the impeller.
The pump and nozzles are also checked. Inspection can be done by removing the pallet and taking the machine a little apart. You can read more in the article "How to replace the pump in the dishwasher."
In the event of a malfunction, the drain pump cannot be repaired. Need a complete replacement.
Intake valve
DTC I 30 in the PMM "Electrolux" may appear if the water intake valve breaks. The electrical part can fail (burned out contacts, wiring) or mechanical. The control module sends a signal to the valve, the membrane opens and water starts to flow. Then the membrane closes and water stops flowing.
The valve contacts are dialed with a multimeter. If damage is found in the electrical or mechanical parts, then the part must be replaced.
Now you know what to do if the Electrolux dishwasher gives an I30 error. Inspect and clean the equipment at least once a month, then such problems will not bother you.
What to do if other codes appear on the display, read in a separate article.
